Antigua Guatemala’s cobblestone street carries local traffic past parked motorcycles and a Hyundai minibus. A bread seller walks along the block near low-rise colonial buildings in the historic city center. Antigua was the colonial capital of Guatemala and is known for its preserved Spanish colonial architecture.
