Minneapolis Police Clear Barricades Amidst Winston Smith Protests

Minneapolis Police clear street barricades at Lake Street and Hennepin Avenue during protests.
Minneapolis Police officers clear street barricades at the intersection of Lake Street and Hennepin Avenue during protests. The protests began following the June 3rd killing of Winston Smith by a federal task force and the June 13th killing of Deona Marie. Marie was killed when Nicholas Kraus drove his vehicle into a crowd of protesters demonstrating against Smith's death. The "Abolish the Police" sign visible on a dumpster reflects the sentiment of some demonstrators.
