Chairs Outside the Former SuperValu on West Lake Street at Night

This stretch of West Lake Street once held a SuperValu grocery store, part of a chain that has operated in Minnesota since the 1920s. The building sat empty after the store's closure, its blue-lit exterior a holdover from the retail signage era. Rows of mismatched chairs left along the sidewalk here have appeared intermittently since 2020, placed by passersby rather than any organized group.
