Boulders Block Vacant Supervalu in South Minneapolis

Boulders outside Supervalu store in South Minneapolis
Large concrete debris has been placed in front of a vacant Supervalu store on Lake Street in South Minneapolis. This measure was implemented to deter individuals experiencing homelessness from sheltering at the site, a common practice following the unrest and property damage that occurred in the city during the summer of 2020. The store has remained empty since its closure, becoming a focal point for discussions around urban blight and social issues.
