Andrew Station serves the MBTA Red Line in the Dorchester section of South Boston, opened in 1873 as a stop on the Old Colony Railroad before later becoming part of the Red Line's Ashmont branch. The station sits below street level, with elevators and turnstiles connecting the mezzanine to the platforms. It functions as a transfer point for local bus routes serving Dorchester and South Boston.
