Spoonbridge and Cherry is located in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden near the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. Designed by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen, the sculpture was installed in 1988 as part of the garden’s opening. The work spans a pond and functions as a fountain during warm-weather months.
