An N700A-series Shinkansen is shown arriving at Kyoto Station on the Tōkaidō Shinkansen, the high-speed rail line operated by JR Central and JR West connecting Tokyo and Shin-Osaka. The N700A, introduced in 2013, refined the earlier N700 series with improved braking systems, active suspension, and semi-active dampers for smoother high-speed travel. Kyoto Station serves as a major stop on the line, connecting the city to Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and other points along Japan's primary high-speed rail corridor.
