Warehouse District buildings in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. The district contains late-19th- and early-20th-century brick commercial and warehouse blocks that were built for the city’s riverfront and rail-based wholesale trade. Newer residential towers now stand among the surviving masonry structures as the area has been redeveloped for housing and mixed commercial use.
