The Department of Justice held a press conference in Minneapolis with Mayor Jacob Frey and Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara on it's findings of a pattern or practice of using excessive force, unlawfully discriminating against Black and Native American people, and violating constitutional rights.

On June 17th, Derrick John Thompson drove his vehicle into another car on Lake Street killing 5 women. He was later found guilty and sentenced to 58 years in prison.
