On New Year's Eve, Minneapolis Police arrested approximately 40 individuals at Mill Ruins Park during a "Noise Demonstration." This annual protest calls for the abolition of prisons and expresses solidarity with incarcerated people. The Mill Ruins Park area, located in downtown Minneapolis, is a historic site that was once the heart of the city's flour milling industry, with remnants of its industrial past visible in the ruins and repurposed brick buildings that now house residences and businesses.
