Orange Line Train Arrives at Haymarket Station

Haymarket Station sits beneath Boston's Haymarket Square, serving the MBTA's Orange Line since the line's relocation underground in 1975 as part of the Southwest Corridor project. The station also connects to the Green Line, linking riders to the North End, Government Center, and the historic open-air Haymarket pushcart market above. Its platforms replaced the elevated Orange Line structure that once ran along Atlantic Avenue before that route was demolished.
