Cowboy Slim’s Saloon at Hennepin Avenue and Lagoon Avenue in Uptown Minneapolis is boarded up and covered in graffiti, including the words “GEORGE” and “FLOYD,” in a photograph made on June 2, 2020. The temporary plywood barriers and street barricade place the image in the period of protests and unrest following the May 25, 2020 killing of George Floyd.
