George Floyd ‘Say My Name’ mural, Stella’s Fish Cafe, Lake St

George Floyd mural on boarded Stella’s Fish Cafe windows on Lake Street in Minneapolis after protests in 2020.
A George Floyd mural covers boarded windows at Stella’s Fish Cafe on Lake Street in Uptown Minneapolis. The painting includes Floyd’s portrait, the words “SAY MY NAME,” and repeated “BLM” text, while adjacent plywood panels are marked with messages including “Justice 4” and “Say His Name.” The boards were installed to protect storefronts during the unrest that followed Floyd’s killing in May 2020, and many became surfaces for memorials and protest art across Minneapolis.
Photo taken in June 2020.
