A boarded-up storefront of Cadillac Pawn on Lake Street in Minneapolis displays graffiti and memorial messages for Calvin Horton Jr. Horton Jr. was killed by the owner of the pawn shop on May 27, 2020, during the civil unrest that followed the murder of George Floyd. The plywood boards are covered with spray-painted names, protest slogans, and hearts, alongside posters calling for 'Justice for Calvin' and announcing a vigil and march on July 21, 2020. Flowers are laid along the sidewalk, marking the site as a place of remembrance and ongoing protest against racial injustice.
