Door-Opening Instructions for Blue Line Cars on the MBTA

The MBTA's Blue Line connects downtown Boston at Bowdoin to Wonderland in Revel, running partly underground and partly on elevated track along the Beachmont and Suffolk Downs stretch. Some of its cars require riders to push a button to open the doors rather than opening automatically, a holdover from older rolling stock still in service on the line. The Blue Line is the only MBTA subway line that connects directly to Logan International Airport, via the Airport station. Customer service signage like this is standard across MBTA stations to help riders unfamiliar with manual door releases.
