The Basilica of Saint Mary, a significant Roman Catholic church in Downtown Minneapolis, was completed in 1926 and is recognized for its Beaux-Arts architecture and prominent dome. It holds the distinction of being the first basilica established in the United States. Adjacent to this historical structure, Target Field opened in 2010 and serves as the home stadium for the Minnesota Twins baseball team.
