USPS Lake Street Station & Stop N Shop, Minneapolis Unrest

Back of fire damaged USPS post office in Minneapolis
Back of fire damaged USPS post office in Minneapolis.

The USPS Lake Street Station and a Stop N Shop gas station stand on Lake Street in Minneapolis. These commercial properties sustained significant damage, including instances of arson, during the civil unrest that occurred in May 2020 following the death of George Floyd. The boarded-up windows and visible repairs on both structures reflect the impact of these events on local businesses and infrastructure. The USPS facility continues to serve as a critical postal service hub for the surrounding community, while the Stop N Shop provides essential fuel and convenience services.
