Lake Street Station Post Office Fire Aftermath, Minneapolis

Inside burned Lake Street Station US Post Office
The Lake Street Station Post Office at 110 E 31st Street in South Minneapolis stands in ruins following its destruction. The facility was burned on May 29, 2020, during the George Floyd uprising, an act of arson that severely disrupted local postal services. Both the Lake Street and Minnehaha postal stations subsequently relocated to a vacant K-Mart building on Lake Street to maintain operations. The United States Postal Service later rebuilt the Lake Street Station Post Office, reopening it three years after the original structure was destroyed.
