Target Center opened in downtown Minneapolis in 1990 as home to the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves and, later, the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx. The arena seats roughly 19,000 for basketball and hosts concerts and other events year-round. A skyway connection links the building to the surrounding downtown buildings.
