November 2023 — Minneapolis police and private security outside Rumba Nightclub in Uptown Minneapolis.

January 2024 — Minneapolis police squad cars outside the downtown 1st precinct police station.

April 2024 — University of Minnesota police department outside Coffman Memorial Union where protesters had been gathering.

July 2024 — Milwaukee Police on the scene of a shooting. Columbus Police shot and killed a homeless man who was brandishing a knife in an argument with another. Columbus Police are in Milwaukee as part of the security surrounding the 2024 RNC.

August 2024 — A police mobile data terminal shows an active dispatch screen for units responding to a call near Lagoon Avenue and Girard Avenue in Minneapolis. These in-car computers provide real-time communication between officers and dispatchers, tracking unit status, priority levels, and incident details. The technology allows for rapid coordination across districts, particularly during large events or disturbances in dense urban areas like Uptown.

December 2024 — A new fleet of electric bicycles for the Puerto Vallarta municipal police stands ready for deployment, each bearing the city’s emblem and markings for the Policía Turística. These fat-tire e-bikes, still wrapped in protective film, are part of an initiative to increase patrol mobility along the Malecón, beaches, and narrow city streets. The compact, battery-powered design enables officers to respond quickly through the resort’s bustling pedestrian areas while reducing emissions and traffic congestion along the bayfront.

January 2026 — More arrests outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Building. From what i’ve seen, it looks like the Border Patrol officers around it have been swapped out with those from the United States Bureau of Prisons along with the Department of Homeland Security police. The building was reportedly on a list last year to be sold off by the General Services Administration. At the time, this news prompted Senator Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith to write a letter to GSA stating “If this building is abruptly closed, it will cause immediate harm to Minnesota veterans and military readiness”. It’s now being used as an ICE detention and enforcement facility. Yesterday, US Representatives Ilhan Omar, Jackie Craig and Kelly Morrison visited the facility only to be asked to leave and blocked from access shortly after arriving.
