The marquee's message — "I'll Be Back, Hasta La Vista, Baby" — quotes Arnold Schwarzenegger's line from "Terminator 2: Judgment Day." Theaters across Minnesota closed to in-person moviegoing in 2020 under statewide COVID-19 restrictions, and many independent cinemas used their marquees to post messages to passersby during the shutdown.
