The lobby of the Midtown Sheraton on Lake Street in Minneapolis sits in disarray, with scattered trash, overturned items, and a damaged front desk visible in the hotel interior. The property was used during the COVID-19 pandemic to house people experiencing homelessness. By June 2020, after those residents had left, the building bore damage associated with unrest that followed the murder of George Floyd.
