Minneapolis Protest March for Deona Marie and Winston Smith

A crowd of approximately one thousand people marched through Uptown Minneapolis, carrying signs for Winston Smith and Deona Marie. The march concluded with a candlelight vigil on Lake Street and Girard Avenue, the site where Deona Marie was killed by a vehicle driven into protesters. Winston Smith had been killed by law enforcement on June 3rd, and Deona Marie's death occurred when a man drove a car through barricades erected by protesters. The event highlights ongoing activism and mourning in Minneapolis following these incidents.

Protesters march after Nicholas Kraus kills Deona Marie
With many carrying Winston Smith and Deona Marie signs, the crowd of around a thousand marched through Uptown Minneapolis neighborhoods before returning back to Lake Street and Girard Ave for a candlelight vigil where Deona Marie was killed last night by a man driving into protesters.

Winston Smith was killed by law enforcement on June 3rd and Deona Marie was killed when a man drove a vehicle through protesters barricades.
