Winston Smith's name is painted on the parking ramp at Seven Points Mall in Uptown Minneapolis, where Minneapolis police and U.S. Marshals fatally shot him in June 2020. Deona Marie Knajdek was killed by a driver near the ramp in June 2021 while protesting his death, and the intersection saw weeks of protest that summer.
