Minneapolis Uprising Smoke, Lake Street Area

Smoke rises over the Lake Street area of Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the early hours of May 30, 2020, during protests and unrest following the killing of George Floyd. A residential high-rise and roadway are visible in the foreground as smoke drifts across the corridor, where multiple commercial buildings were damaged by fire that week. Lake Street became one of the most heavily affected areas in south Minneapolis during the fourth day of demonstrations.
