Lake Street Fires, Minneapolis Uprising, May 30, 2020

Fires burn along Lake Street in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on May 30, 2020, sending a large plume of smoke over surrounding apartment buildings before dawn. The fires occurred during unrest following the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police. Lake Street is a major commercial corridor in south Minneapolis and sustained extensive damage during the nights of arson and looting that followed the protests.
