Minneapolis Police Fifth Precinct Chauvin Trial Security
Security fencing and concrete barriers were erected around the Minneapolis Police Department's 5th Precinct station during the trial of Derek Chauvin in 2021. The precinct had been a focal point of protests and unrest following the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. The extensive security measures were implemented to protect the facility and maintain order during the highly publicized legal proceedings.
