The United States Postal Service’s Lake Street Station in South Minneapolis is shown filled with smoke during unrest on May 29, 2020, the fourth night of demonstrations following the killing of George Floyd. Located on East 31st Street, the post office served the surrounding neighborhoods as a local mail-processing and retail facility. The building was later declared a total loss and subsequently rebuilt.
