The GM Tobacco building on East Lake Street in Minneapolis burns on the night of May 28, 2020, during protests that followed the killing of George Floyd. Flames engulf the storefront and upper facade, with anti-police graffiti visible on the front of the building and a person standing on the sidewalk at right. The property was in the area of south Minneapolis where unrest was concentrated near the Minneapolis Police Department’s 3rd Precinct.
