Minneapolis Police Fifth Precinct behind chain link fencing
The Minneapolis Police Fifth Precinct, located on Nicollet Avenue in South Minneapolis, is shown fortified with security fencing and concrete barriers. This measure was implemented in response to the civil unrest and protests that followed the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. The precinct, like many other public buildings in the area, became a focal point during the Minneapolis Uprising and required enhanced security to protect its facilities and personnel.
