Minneapolis police officers stand along a fence on the I-94 overpass, monitoring a crowd gathered on the highway after the November 2020 presidential election. Protesters had marched onto the interstate to oppose President Trump's attempts to challenge the election results. Law enforcement closed the highway and arrested 646 people that night, the largest mass arrest in Minnesota history. Many demonstrators carried signs calling for community control of police and denouncing voter suppression.
