The Stone Arch Bridge crosses the Mississippi River below Saint Anthony Falls in downtown Minneapolis. Railroad magnate James J. Hill built it in 1883 for the Great Northern Railway, and it now carries pedestrians and cyclists between the river's east and west banks. Lightning flashes over the downtown skyline beyond it.
