This construction site in Dinkytown, Minneapolis, sits on the former grounds of the Kurth Malting Company grain elevator. The elevator complex was demolished to clear land for a University of Minnesota athletic facility. Concrete silos from the adjacent Archer Daniels Midland elevator remain standing near the cleared parcel. Underground utility pipe and precast concrete vault sections visible on site are part of infrastructure work preceding new construction.
