Juneteenth Flag on Target HQ LEDs, Downtown Minneapolis

Target Corporate Headquarters in downtown Minneapolis is illuminated with the Juneteenth flag on its rooftop LED display. Photographed on June 20, 2020, the installation marked Juneteenth, the annual commemoration of June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Texas were informed of their freedom. The building’s programmable facade, a prominent feature of the city center, was used here for a public observance of the holiday.
