Cup Foods at East 38th Street and Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis is covered with memorial tributes beneath a mural of George Floyd. Photographed at night in June 2020, the storefront at what became known as George Floyd Square is lined with flowers, signs, candles, and other offerings left after Floyd was killed by Minneapolis police on May 25, 2020. The image shows the store facade and sidewalk transformed into a public memorial in the weeks following his death.
