Protesters gathered outside the Brooklyn Center Police Department in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, on April 12, 2021. The protest was in response to the fatal shooting of Daunte Wright by a police officer the previous day. The Brooklyn Center Police Department is a municipal law enforcement agency serving the city of Brooklyn Center. The events of April 2021 marked a period of significant unrest and public outcry regarding police brutality and racial injustice in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area.
