Construction ongoing at the Uptown Theater
Construction ongoing at the Uptown Theater.

Demolition is underway at the former Uptown Theater in Minneapolis, a landmark that opened in 1926. The theater, located on Hennepin Avenue, was a significant cultural hub for the Uptown neighborhood for decades. Its closure and subsequent demolition mark the end of an era for this historic entertainment venue. The ongoing construction signifies a transformation of the site, though the specific future use remains to be seen.
