Calle de Regina runs through the Centro Histórico of Mexico City, a district settled atop the ruins of Tenochtitlan and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. The street sits within the Regina neighborhood, known for its mix of 19th-century apartment buildings and small plazas that once served as informal gathering points for residents.
