Calle de Regina runs through the Centro Histórico of Mexico City, a district settled atop the ruins of Tenochtitlan and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. The street sits within the Regina neighborhood, known for its mix of 19th-century apartment buildings and small plazas that once served as informal gathering points for residents. Graffiti and layered posters on many building walls here reflect years of street art and political messaging common throughout the historic center.
