Barricades on Hennepin and Lagoon in Minneapolis
Barricades were erected at the intersection of Hennepin Avenue and Lagoon Avenue in Minneapolis's Uptown neighborhood. These barriers were put in place during the unrest that followed the murder of George Floyd in late May 2020. The area, a vibrant commercial and residential district, became a focal point for protests and demonstrations. The presence of these barricades signifies a period of significant civil disturbance and the community's response to it.
