Demonstrators filled the streets of downtown Minneapolis on June 24, 2022, the day the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The 1973 ruling had established a constitutional right to abortion, and its reversal in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization returned abortion regulation to individual states. Minnesota law continued to protect abortion access after the decision, making the state a for activists from surrounding areas with new restrictions.
