Cadillac Pawn, E. Lake St., Minneapolis: Calvin Horton Graffiti

Say his name calvin horton
The former Cadillac Pawn building on East Lake Street in Minneapolis is shown boarded up. The plywood boards display graffiti and posters memorializing Calvin Horton, whose death was associated with the location during periods of unrest. Hennepin County authorities declined to prosecute the owner in connection with Horton's death, citing insufficient evidence. The Cadillac Pawn sign was later removed following the building's sale to another pawn shop, marking a change for this retail space on Lake Street.
