The Wince Marie Peace Garden sits at Lake Street and Girard Avenue in Uptown Minneapolis. It was established after the deaths of Winston Smith, killed by law enforcement on June 3, 2021, and Deona Marie, killed ten days later when a driver struck a crowd gathered at the site to protest Smith's death.
