Mural Boards and the Downtown Minneapolis Skyline on Lake Street
Taken June 2022
The downtown Minneapolis skyline includes the IDS Center, completed in 1972 at 792 feet and the tallest building in Minnesota, and the Foshay Tower, built in 1929 at 447 feet with an observation deck near its top. Mural boards now cover the fence around the former Kmart and grocery store site at Lake Street and Nicollet Avenue, demolished in 2022.
