K-Mart site, Minneapolis

The K-Mart site in South Minneapolis, located on Lake Street, served as a temporary post office from November 2020 to late summer 2023. This followed the destruction of two South Minneapolis post offices during the Minneapolis Uprising in May 2020. The site, which previously housed a K-Mart, is now a vacant lot marked by a banner asking "GET A SAY IN WHAT HAPPENS ON THIS SITE?", indicating ongoing discussions about its future development.
