Protesters march through Uptown Minneapolis on June 24, 2021, following the killing of Winston Smith by a federal task force. Smith, a Black man, was shot and killed on June 23, 2021, on the top level of a parking ramp in the Uptown neighborhood. The incident sparked protests and unrest in the city, drawing comparisons to the demonstrations that followed the murder of George Floyd in 2020.
