Inverted Pyramid Towers, Tokyo Big Sight, Ariake

Tokyo Big Sight is the operating name of the Tokyo International Exhibition Center, opened in 1996 in the Ariake district on reclaimed land along Tokyo Bay. The complex was designed by Shin Takamatsu in association with AXS Satow, and its four upside-down pyramid towers house conference rooms above the main exhibition halls. Tokyo Big Sight is operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government through Tokyo Big Sight Co., Ltd. and ranks among the largest convention centers in Japan, with roughly 230,000 square meters of exhibition and meeting space. It regularly hosts major trade events, including the Tokyo Motor Show in past years and the Comiket manga and anime fair, which draws hundreds of thousands of attendees over a single weekend.
