A street artist paints a portrait of George Floyd on plywood boarding along Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis on May 31, 2020. The temporary panels were installed over storefront windows after unrest and property damage following Floyd’s death in Minneapolis on May 25. Murals and memorial art appeared across the city during this period, using boarded facades as improvised public canvases.
