National Guard troops and a Minneapolis Fire Department truck are positioned on Lake Street at the Lyn-Lake Speedway station in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the early morning of May 30, 2020. The deployment followed overnight fires and unrest in the city after the killing of George Floyd. National Guard units were sent to secure streets and support emergency access as fire crews responded to active blazes and damaged properties along the corridor.
