The channel connecting Bde Maka Ska and Lake of the Isles in Minneapolis is a popular spot for recreation. The channel, part of the city's Grand Rounds Scenic Byway, was created in the early 20th century to improve water flow and navigation between the lakes. Today, it serves as a picturesque waterway for kayakers, paddleboarders, and anglers, while the surrounding parkland offers walking paths and green spaces enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.
