On Lake Street in Minneapolis, an artist creates a chalk portrait of Deona Marie. Marie was a participant in protests following the June 3rd law enforcement shooting death of Winston Smith. Tragically, Marie was killed when a vehicle driven by Nicholas Kraus struck protesters on Lake Street, who were demonstrating against Smith's killing. This incident occurred during a period of heightened activism and unrest in Minneapolis.
